Each cobalt band on this vase was laid in one pass, so the weight of the brush shifts as it travels and the stripes drift a little from true. On a factory vase that would be a reject. Here it is the whole point: the piece carries the record of the hand that made it. Deep enough for tuberose from the market, steady enough for a single branch.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.
