About Ceramics
Ceramics sit at the heart of Modus & Mood because they move easily between moods: a mug can turn the morning into a Ritual, a platter can set a Social table, a vase can make a quiet corner feel more Sanctuary, and the collectable pieces belong to Curator. The collection includes hand-painted plates, bowls, platters, jugs, mugs, cups, vases, bud vases and trinket dishes, with terracotta figurines and hanging bells alongside.
Every piece is thrown, formed or painted by hand, so glaze pools, brush lines wander and shapes vary slightly. That is the charm of small-batch ceramics, not a flaw.

Good to know
What ceramics does Modus & Mood sell?
Hand-painted plates, bowls, platters, mugs, cups and kettles for the table, and vases, bud vases, trinket dishes and nerikomi planters, figurines, chimes and hanging bells for the home. There are over 100 pieces, starting from ₹399, and delivery is free on every order in India.
Are the ceramics handmade?
Yes. Every piece is thrown, formed or painted by hand in India in small batches, so glaze, pattern and shape vary a little from one piece to the next.
What is the difference between hand-painted ceramics and nerikomi?
A hand-painted piece carries its pattern on the surface, painted by hand. A nerikomi piece is built from layers of coloured clay, so the pattern runs right through the clay. Both are made by hand.
Is it dishwasher or microwave safe?
Our ceramics are microwave safe unless they have metal components attached to them. They are not dishwasher safe, so hand wash them with a soft sponge and mild soap.
