The rings run through the clay, laminated rather than applied, and no two turtles carry them in the same place. Solid, low, heavy for its size, and happy on a shelf, a desk or a windowsill.
Nerikomi: the pattern is built through the clay before the piece is formed, and every piece is cut by hand, so no two are identical.
