What are your home decor pieces made of?
Most are ceramic, including nerikomi planters, figurines and hangings, vases, and hand-painted plates and bowls. The rest are wool felt hangings and nursery pieces, cotton cushion covers, and glass incense holders and diffuser bottles. The material is named on every product page.
Can I use the ceramic pieces for food and drink?
Yes, for the tableware. Our plates, bowls, platters and other serving pieces are made for everyday food and drink. Planters, vases, figurines and hanging pieces are decorative and not meant for food.
How do I clean home decor pieces?
It depends on the material. Wash ceramic and glass by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap. Dust wool felt with a soft, dry cloth and do not soak it. Machine wash cotton cushion covers cold on a gentle cycle. Care steps are listed on every product page.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
Not exactly. Most pieces are made and finished by hand in small batches, so glaze, pattern, stitching and shape vary a little from one to the next. That variation is part of the handmade process, not a flaw.
