No. It is imitation jewellery, finished in a gold tone over brass or any other base metal and given an anti-tarnish finish.

The anti-tarnish finish helps it keep its colour. Store it in its pouch away from moisture, and wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
Can I wear it in water?
Take it off before swimming or bathing, and put it on after perfume and lotion. Do not use chemical cleaners on it.
