What are the hanging decorations made of?

They are made of either wool felt or nerikomi ceramic. The felt owls, butterflies and nursery hangings are cut and stitched by hand, and many are embroidered. The ceramic bells and wind chimes are nerikomi, where coloured clays are layered and sliced so the pattern runs through the clay.

Do they come ready to hang?

Yes. Every hanging decoration comes with a hanging cord, so there is nothing extra to buy. Where a size or cord length has been measured, it is listed on the product page.

Where can I hang them?

A window, doorway, wall or curtain rod all work, and the ceramic bells and wind chimes chime when the air moves. Keep wool felt pieces out of long spells of direct sunlight. Nursery hangings should hang out of a child's reach, as they are not toys.

How do I clean a hanging decoration?

Dust wool felt with a soft, dry cloth, or wipe it with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. Do not soak it. Wash nerikomi ceramic pieces gently by hand with a soft sponge and mild soap, and avoid dropping or rough handling.
