A ceramic kettle with a cane-wrapped handle, design of small blue floral on cream. Decorative first, but it pours.
Chai Hour is a set of four ceramic kettles with cane-wrapped handles, and this is the blue floral: a small blue print on cream. It is decorative first, and it earns a place on a shelf as an object, but it genuinely pours, which is more than can be said for most decorative kettles. Approximately 850 ml. Blue floral is the classic of the four.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.

- What is included
- 1 kettle
Care
- Hand wash with a soft sponge and mild soap
- Not dishwasher safe
- Microwave safe, unless the piece has metal parts

How it is made
Painted by hand, one piece at a time
- Shaped and finished by hand in small batches, so shape and glaze pooling vary a little from piece to piece
- Lines and motifs are painted freehand with a brush, never transferred, so a border may not close quite evenly
That variation is the point, not a flaw.

FAQs
Is it dishwasher or microwave safe?
Our ceramics are microwave safe unless they have metal components attached to them. They are not dishwasher safe, so hand wash them with a soft sponge and mild soap.
Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Each piece is made and finished by hand, so glaze, pattern and shape vary a little from one piece to the next. That variation is part of the handmade process, not a flaw.
How do I stop it cracking?
Avoid sudden changes in temperature and handle it gently. Our journal guide to caring for handmade ceramics covers washing, stains and storage in more detail.
Can I use it for food and drink?
Yes. Our mugs, cups, plates, bowls and serving pieces are made for everyday food and drink. Planters, vases, figurines and hanging pieces are decorative and not meant for food.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days and then delivered in 3 to 7 business days. Orders placed after 2 PM IST are processed the next business day, and nothing is dispatched on weekends or public holidays.
Is delivery free, and where do you deliver?
Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum. We deliver to addresses in India only, and you can place the order from anywhere in the world.
Can I return it?
Festive Sale: exchanges only, no returns.
Yes, within 7 days of delivery, as long as it is unused and has its tags and original packaging. Request the return on our return request page. Return pickup is free.
Is cash on delivery available?
Yes, on eligible orders. We may call or WhatsApp you to confirm a cash on delivery order before it is dispatched.
