Slate-grey brows over amber eyes give this owl a solemn look, which is saying something in the company of the other three. Ochre zigzags run down the body, laminated through the clay. It hangs from a plain 70 cm cord and swings freely on two small legs, chiming softly when the air moves. The muted palette makes it the easiest of the four owl bells to hang in a calm room. Seventeen centimetres tall.
Nerikomi: the pattern is built through the clay before the piece is formed, and every piece is cut by hand, so no two are identical.
