Sunspot is a family of three small bud vases in the same yellow and red dots, each a different shape: tapered, round and oval. This is the tapered one, shoulders sloping to a narrow neck that holds a single stem upright without any help. On its own it is a bedside vase for a sprig picked on a walk. With its two siblings it becomes a still life, three heights and three silhouettes in one pattern.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.
