The Leher stripe plate in soft sky blue, brushed by hand. Mix it with the coral and yellow for a table that looks collected.
The same broad Leher stripe in a soft sky blue, brushed on by hand so every band wanders a little. Mix it with the coral and the yellow and you have a table that looks collected over time rather than bought in a set, which is what hand-painted plates are for. Every stripe painted freehand, so the plate is unrepeatable. Sky blue is the calm one of the six.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.

How it is made

Decent
Well made, but too small for a dinner plate and the stripes are a bit uneven on one side.

Is it dishwasher or microwave safe?
Our ceramics are microwave safe unless they have metal components attached to them. They are not dishwasher safe, so hand wash them with a soft sponge and mild soap.
Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Each piece is made and finished by hand, so glaze, pattern and shape vary a little from one piece to the next. That variation is part of the handmade process, not a flaw.
How do I stop it cracking?
Avoid sudden changes in temperature and handle it gently. Our journal guide to caring for handmade ceramics covers washing, stains and storage in more detail.
