Deep matte blue across most of the bowl, breaking into a band of fine speckling where the two clays meet.
Most of this bowl is a deep matte blue. Where the blue clay meets the speckled clay, a band of fine speckling breaks across the surface, and because the coloured clays are laid up by hand, that join falls in a different place on every bowl. Stack it with the cream and sea-green Dune bowls and the speckled bands line up into a wave running around the stack. Deep enough for dal, shallow enough for fruit. Food-safe.
Nerikomi: the pattern is built through the clay before the piece is formed, and every piece is cut by hand, so no two are identical.
