Monsoon Cloud is a small pinched dish painted with a blue cloud and lines of falling rain. It is sized for rings and earrings beside a basin, or paperclips beside a laptop, and it is pinched by hand, so the edges are soft and uneven. Thirteen centimetres long, two deep. The one trinket dish of the five with a scene on it rather than a motif, and the one that gets a smile.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.
