A tall stepped bottle vase covered in fine hand-drawn indigo hatching that changes direction as it climbs.
Look closely at this bottle vase and every one of the fine indigo lines was drawn by hand, tier by tier, the hatching switching direction at each step. It is a lot of patient work for one piece, and it shows: the pattern reads as fabric from across a room and as a drawing when you pick it up. The narrow neck holds two or three stems upright without any arranging, which is really all a bottle vase should be asked to do.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.

How it is made
Painted by hand, one piece at a time

That variation is the point, not a flaw.

FAQs
Is it dishwasher or microwave safe?
Our ceramics are microwave safe unless they have metal components attached to them. They are not dishwasher safe, so hand wash them with a soft sponge and mild soap.
Why does my piece look different from the photo?
Each piece is made and finished by hand, so glaze, pattern and shape vary a little from one piece to the next. That variation is part of the handmade process, not a flaw.
How do I stop it cracking?
Avoid sudden changes in temperature and handle it gently. Our journal guide to caring for handmade ceramics covers washing, stains and storage in more detail.
Can I use it for food and drink?
Yes. Our mugs, cups, plates, bowls and serving pieces are made for everyday food and drink. Planters, vases, figurines and hanging pieces are decorative and not meant for food.

Orders are dispatched within 1 to 3 business days and then delivered in 3 to 7 business days. Orders placed after 2 PM IST are processed the next business day, and nothing is dispatched on weekends or public holidays.
