This is the Leher vase with real presence. Nearly twenty centimetres tall and fifteen across, with a lip that dips and rises the way thrown clay does when nobody has tidied it up. Carmine stripes brushed down the cream body in single passes. On its own it holds a room; in a row of three it holds a table. Wide enough for a whole armful of flowers, and heavy enough at the base not to argue about it.
Hand-thrown and hand-finished in small batches, so shape, glaze pooling and pattern vary a little piece to piece. That variation is the point, not a flaw.
