A wide-eyed cow planter with a ring of blue spots across its back and a pink muzzle, sturdy enough for a busy desk.

Wide eyes, a pink muzzle and a ring of blue spots across the back, all of it laminated into the clay before the cow was formed. Horns, ears and four small feet modelled by hand and joined. It is deep enough for a small plant and sturdy enough to survive a busy desk, which is where it usually ends up. Twenty centimetres long, and part of a five-cow herd that looks best in a line.

Nerikomi: the pattern is built through the clay before the piece is formed, and every piece is cut by hand, so no two are identical.
