The face is pinched out by hand at the front, and there is a crescent detail on the rear that only shows when you turn it round, the sort of thing you find a week after it arrives. An open bowl in the back takes a small plant or a handful of clips. Twenty centimetres, four small feet, hand-joined.
Nerikomi: the pattern is built through the clay before the piece is formed, and every piece is cut by hand, so no two are identical.
