Ochre zigzags down the front, dark ear tufts and spectacle rims that give the owl a faintly professorial air.

Ochre zigzags down the front, dark ear tufts and spectacle rims: of the three Chashma owls this is the one with the faintly professorial air, the one you would expect to mark essays. It is the third of three and completes the group. Built in nerikomi so the pattern runs through the clay, and modelled entirely by hand, so the tilt of the head and the set of the tufts are its own. Made for a bookshelf, obviously.

Nerikomi: the pattern is built through the clay before the piece is formed, and every piece is cut by hand, so no two are identical.
